Rogues' Gallery - Grey Rhianne

So, it's been a while since I've blogged -- but our campaign soldiers on!  Our Road Crew has hit their 71st play session, and some of them are almost reaching the lofty reaches of 6th level.  The story is starting to unfold, so I can't post it here in advance, but I can post one of the nefarious characters that was causing them grief -- the barrow ghast witch named Grey Rhianne.

Grey Rhianne had at her command a pack of 12-20 ghasts at any point, as well as 3-4 barrow ghasts, and a faithful lackey named Crusella (a halfling barrow ghast that was also a 3rd level Wizard).  She had other alliances and resources, but I can't post about it as yet as our trusty heroes wouldn't know about that ... yet ...

Enjoy!

Grey Rhianne

Grey Rhianne is a barrow ghast, and in life was a witch dwelling in the Enchwood.  Rhianne’s will is so strong that any turn attempt against her followers suffers a -1d check.  They are sly, self-serving and ravenous for human flesh.

The Grey Witch can be found either in the Blackcandle Barrows cultivating followers for her pack, or travelling to and from the Enchwood where she has a ramshackle cottage on the edge of the swamp she calls home.
Rhianne craves for the taste of mortal food above all else, but cannot resist her unnatural hunger.  She can be found stirring her great cauldron, in which she cooks and eats captured humans and halflings (she doesn’t care for the taste of dwarf or elf).

Grey Rhianne: Init +1; Atk bite +5 melee (1d5) or adamantine dagger +5 (1d4); AC 15; HD 7d12+6d4 (61 hp); MV 25’, climb 25’; Act 2d20+1d16; SP darkvision 100’, ghoulish bite, spellcasting (+8 to check), undead traits; Spells 1st – Charm Person, Choking Cloud, Flaming Hands, Invoke Patron (Enchwyte), Magic Shield, Patron Bond, Sleep, 2nd – Deytasso’s Dimension Door, Invisible Companion, Scare, 3rd – Dispel Magic, Haste; SV Fort +4, Ref +2, Will +6; AL C; Crit U/d20.
Equipment: Enchworm Silk Robe (+1 AC), Enchanted Door Knocker (+4 to cast Deytasso’s Dimension Door), Cauldron of Animate Dead (1d10+20, 1/day, requires victim of at least 3HD)
The foul bite of a barrow ghast inflicts paralysis on the victim if they fail a DC 14 Fortitude check, as well as necrosis if they fail a DC 11 Fort save.  Failure on the first save means paralysis for 1d6+2 rounds, and failure on the second means taking an additional 1 hp damage per hour as the dying flesh rapidly rots. The necrosis continues until the original wound is magically healed or the target dies (rising as ghoul upon the following dusk).
