DCC Funeral Rites

Hey all -- there's a great idea in the Dragonslayer RPG about funeral pyres for a fallen comrade -- but it's just trading gp spent in the funeral for XP.  It's a cinematic moment, a fallen comrade returned to join the tomb of his fallen ancestors, launched in a boat with his sword and shield, or a burning pyre reaching to the sky ... would be a great idea for DCC.

My thought, is like the training tables I've made, but a bit simpler.

Funeral Rites

If the recovered body of a slain henchmen, fellow player character, or important figure is recovered, relatively intact, funeral rites can be pertormed.

To perform funeral rites, it requires a cleric of at least 1st level belonging to the same faith as the deceased. They must perform the rites within three days of the death of the figure, and may be a simple funeral pyre or an elaborate funeral with a specially consecrated tomb.  The rites typically take everyone involved all day in preparation, attending the ceremony, and interment or burial.  If a cleric is not available, roll 1d10 on the chart instead.

Roll on the chart below, adding +1 for every level of the deceased, +1 for each 10 people in attendance, and +1 for each 50 gp spent on incense, funerary trappings, shrouds, flowers, sepulchers, or other such finery..
